The BORDO 6000C is the longest model in the BORDO 6000 series at 120cm at full length, combining flexibility with solid protection. It comes in with a mid-level rating of 10 out of 15 on ABUS’s security scale, making it suitable for typical urban and moderate-risk situations.
The BORDO 6000C features 5 mm-thick, hardened steel folding bars connected by specially engineered rivets, all coated with a soft, paint-friendly material to protect your bike’s finish. The lock uses a customizable four-digit combination mechanism—thanks to two-component code dials, the digits remain legible over time. The included SH bracket allows for tool-free mounting to your bike via tension straps, offering easy front-facing removal and rattling-free transport.
While the BORDO 6000C offers excellent compactness and versatility—folding down neatly and transporting more quietly than U‑locks, and also being a bit lighter —it is a bit less resistant than bulkier U‑locks or heavy-duty chain locks; it’s less effective against determined thieves using tools like bolt cutters. That said, its adaptability—able to secure to awkward objects such as wide poles or crowding bike racks—paired with easy mounting and a lack of rattling, make it a smart choice for everyday riders with moderate security needs.
